Whittlebury Hall Wedding Photography

Claire + Andy’s Autumn Whittlebury Hall Wedding Photography

I love the sense of excitement I get when I am to photograph a wedding at a new wedding venue .. and I was certainly looking forward to photographing Claire and Andy’s wedding at Whittlebury Hall. Set in the heart of the Northamptonshire country side this wedding venue, with the beautiful Orangery & pavilion it clear why this is a very popular wedding venue.

Having photographed Claire and Andy’s pre-wedding shoot at Whittlebury Hall in the spring, there was quiet a difference between the different seasons.. our October day was slightly cooler, wet and windy! That being said the weather was never going to stop us having the best of days ..

Claire and Andy held their ceremony in the Orangery, a beauiful bright and light room, surrounded by friends and family there was lots of laughter and cuteness with the little flower girls. Claire and Andy love music, they have been to several music gigs over the years and music makes them so happy, so this was a natural theme running throughout the day.

Claire and Andy have kindly shared a few words as well as the wedding professionals who helped bring their vision to life.

Jules is amazing! From the first time we saw her at the wedding fair in St Albans we knew she was the photographer for us. She is always happy and relaxed, and she got on really well with our 3 year old daughter (which was really important to us and we also had several kids at our wedding!).
Before the wedding we had an engagement shoot at our wedding venue with the 3 of us. It was great to walk around the venue with Jules before the day and to also get some family shots!
On the day she captured some really lovely natural pictures without making us feel like we were being continually photographed! She was also able to show her experience of photographing weddings by organising others into group shots in a friendly way without being bossy, and also picking out various locations at our wedding venue for lovely backdrops.
Jules was also there to capture photos of the whole day – from both of us getting ready separately in the morning, all the way through to night time and sparkler shots in the evening! This means that our pictures show the story of the whole day.
We have seen online all the pictures she took and cannot wait to get our physical photo album. We are so happy we picked Jules and couldn’t recommend her enough to others looking for a wedding photographer!

Best memory of your wedding day – All overall happy vibe and smiles on people’s faces!
Any advice to future couples planning a wedding.
Enjoy every moment – it’s true that the day goes so quickly!! Make sure you plan time in the day to spend time together as a couple – we took some time after the wedding breakfast, before the evening guests arrived!
