New House Farm Wedding | Lake District

Weddings

Looking at the photographs below its really easy to see why Eleanor and Tom asked their family and friends to join them 300 miles from home at the stunning New House Farm to celebrate their wedding day.

Set in spectacular scenery New House Farm is the most welcoming wedding venue. The rustic charm of the barns and the relaxed setting make for the perfect wedding venue. The Farm house was set aside for Eleanor and her family to stay and get ready in.

The Ceremony

The weather fairies were certainly on our side for the outdoor wedding ceremony Eleanor and Tom had planned. Covid had changed this couples plans on more than one occasion. They had the legal part of the wedding in London a few days earlier. In doing so Eleanor and Tom had the wonderful celebrant lead wedding ceremony.

The extensive gardens and barn created the perfect relaxed environment for everyone to enjoy a wonderful drinks reception. Not to mention the best backdrop to their wedding photographs. I always like to keep the photographs fun and relaxed. Having photographed some of Eleanor and Tom’s friends weddings it was lovely to see familiar faces.

The Barn

he Hay barn was beautifully decorated with wild flowers and small personalised details all set out with in the beautiful rustic charm and fairy lights. We still had a few restrictions in place but this in no way stopped the full belly laughs and embarrassing faces as stories were retold during the speeches.

I am known for making suggestions to my wedding couples for locations to escape to for a short while to give my couples time together. Giving time reflect on their wedding days so far as well as getting some beautiful photographs of them. It would be a miss of us not to take the short car ride to Lorton Lake. When Eleanor and Tom saw the photographs they thanked me for suggesting it and although maybe had a few doughs before hand, said afterwards its was so lovely to spend time together. The Photographs certainly added to the memories of their epic day.
