Longstowe Hall Wedding

Longstowe Hall is the most beautiful wedding venue set in the heart of the Cambridge Countryside, with the stately home overlooking the most beautiful lake it makes the perfect backdrop to the most romantic wedding photographs, it was clear to me why Sarah and Gordon chose this wedding venue for their fairytale wedding day.

Getting ready at her parents house surrounded by her family and best friends, with make up beautifully applied by Lashes by Lisha and Hair by Sadie’s Scissors N’ Curls, the morning was full of girly giggles. Sarah’s beautiful dress was from Ann Bridal and her stunning weddings shoes were beautifully customised by the extremely talented Daisy Robbins the must have accessory to any Disney lover. Wilfred was adorable in his matching tweed waistcoat to Gordons and was a little super star all day.

With Gordon getting ready at home with his groomsman professional dressed by Mr Mackys Suits and the church having a pub right next door it was only right that I met the boys there ahead of the ceremony.

The beautiful church of Gamlingay was the location for Sarah and Gordon’s wedding ceremony. Sarah arrived in her Uncles beautiful classic car with her father.

Although, the weather was a little chilly we enjoyed the beautiful grounds of Longstowe Hall for photographs and the iconic wedding photographs of Sarah and Gordon overlooking the lake with the house in the background a must have photograph as it really is so beautiful. With the newly refurbished coach house for the wedding drinks and the marquee all set for the wedding breakfast, we all enjoyed the most amazing day.

Friends and family helped with flowers by Margaret Kiddy, Cake by Meg Kiddy. Stationary beautifully created by Zassle and the chosen Caterer – Big Day Catering.

Our Photographer – Julia Walters

“I met Julia at Hatfield wedding show and from that moment knew she was the photographer I wanted for my wedding, not only did I see beautiful photos that had been taken previously but also Julia was easy to talk to and made me feel like someone who was a friend at my wedding not a photographer. On the day my instincts were right not only have we got the most beautiful photos but so many of these were captured because she wasn’t intrusive and was someone there to help even helping to sort out my dress. Julia was the perfect choice for us with two people that hate having their photo taken she managed to get shots of us relaxed and formal that we both like which is something that I didn’t think was possible.

I thank Sarah, Gordon and their families for making me feel so welcome and helping me create the memories I have shared below.
