Hunton Park Wedding | Jo & Matt
I have had the pleasure of knowing Jo & Matt for a number of years and watched their relationship grown into a beautiful love story, so when they announced their engagement I was so excited for them.
It is always an honour to photograph a couples wedding day, but to be asked by a friend is even more so and we had the most amazing day.
Matt’s family flew over from Australia to celebrate and a great day we had and despite the typlically British Weather we were met with on the day – this did not dampen the spirits.
Jo has kindly shared the amazing and talented suppliers who helped make their dream day come to life and a few tips if you have family visiting from far shores!
All of the staff looking after us at Hunton Park in the lead up to and during the wedding deserve a mention … Jamie the bar manager, Carole on the events team,
Stewart the general manager but most importantly Alice our wedding co-ordinator. Our Toastmaster Jango (Gazdar is his surname) must also have a mention!
Favourite Moment –
It’s hard to pick a favourite memory from the day as it was all just perfect but saying our vows surrounded by the people we love has to be top of the list.
Anything you would change –
We would have loved to have had a live band but apart from that, we wouldn’t have changed a thing.
Tips to couples planning their day –
As far as having family travel overseas for your wedding, just embrace it! If they can stay with you great but don’t beat yourself up about if they can’t or you don’t want them to!
If you need help with anything ask them, they’re coming because they love you and it’s your special day.
Your photography –
Julia has been a friend of ours for many years and we knew we wanted her to photograph our wedding right from the start.
We wanted Julia to be a guest too so just hoped she could hold a camera in one hand and glass of champagne in the other!
Julia put everyone at ease, was a reassuring and calming presence whilst we were getting ready in the morning and we can’t thank her enough for everything she did.
Julia completely captured the essence of our day. Our wedding photos are full of love and laughter and are quite simply stunning. Thank you Julia, you’re amazing.
