Are engagement photos necessary? A question I am often asked by my wedding couples. The answer to this question often found within yourselves.
If most people are honest no one really likes having their photograph taken. With Social media we are a little more use to taking photos of ourselves. But the reality is most peoples experience of having photos taken is the yearly school photo shoot. Lets be honest no one liked their school photos!.
Your wedding photographs are going to be some of your most precious photographs you ever have taken. Feeling relaxed and confident with your chosen wedding photographer is so important. This will ensure your wedding photographs are the very best they can be.
You don’t need me to tell you, your wedding day is a one off event theres no dress rehearsal! Unlike a florist who can show you your flowers or your dress you can see before your wedding. The wedding photographs are only created at the time so if theres something you don’t like its impossible to change after. An engagement shoot will give you a chance to get to know your photographer and how it feels to be photographed by them. Because an engagement shoot is a trial run if you don’t like something you have the opportunity to change things.
Include fur babies!
I am an animal lover!. Because Fur babies can’t always make it to your wedding so including them in your engagement shoot and not only do you have some fun with them you get some beautiful family portraits. Be true to yourselves and have an engagement shoot that follows your love be yourself and lets have some fun.
Where to have your engagement shoot?
Look at locations that have meaning to you both. Maybe its where your 1st dates were or a location that you love to visit regularly.
Does your wedding venue have loads of photo opportunities that you will never get round to using all of them on your wedding day then this can be a great location.
