Hi, I’m Julia (aka Jules .. Wedding Photographer .. who loves to lay down on the job, dodge moving traffic and hang from windows to get the best view of your wedding!).. lover of sunsets and wearing pretty dresses.. But best of all being chosen as your wedding photographer..!
I believe that the best wedding photos aren’t the ones where you’re told to “smile for the camera,” but the the ones where you’ve forgotten I’m even there.
As a Hertfordshire wedding photographer, I’ve spent over 25 years watching parents smile with pride, wipe happy tears of joy and and grandparents strutting their impresive dance moves, for couples just like you. Soaking up these moments so you can relive them year after year.
Whether you’re dreaming of a grand, historical celebration at Hatfield House, an outdoor ceremony at South Farm, or a cozy, rustic party at The barns at Redcoats, I’m there to capture the soul of your day.
My style is soft, natural and timeless, ensuring that when you look back at your wedding album in forty years, you don’t just see what happened – you feel it all over again.
Why I love being a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire is more than just my my home base, its where I grew up and explored many of the historical wedding venues I now get to work at.
When you ask me to be your wedding photographer, you get so much more than a stunning collection of wedding photos. You’re getting:-
- A Calm Presence : I’m the one who helps pin on buttonholes, carries your spare lipstick and keeps the energy light and joyful.
- An expert : having photographed weddings at venues like Fanhams Hall and Knebworth House on many occasions, I know exactly where the light hits best at 7pm and which hidden corners offer the most privacy for your portraits.
- A Storyteller : I don’t do “stiff:. I focus on the “messy” beautiful moments – the wind in your veil, the tears in your dad’s eyes and the way you hold each other when the music slows down.
- A Friend : Who will be by your side every step of your wedding day, and just happens to have over 20 yrs experience too
- Family Heirloom portraits : Family is so important to me so I always encourage you to include a few must have family groups (or lots if they are important to you).
